    [ylt] Words of a Gatherer, son of an obedient one, the declaration, an affirmation of the man: -- I have wearied myself God, I have wearied myself God, and am consumed.
    [bbe] The words of Agur, the son of Jakeh, from Massa. The man says: I am full of weariness, O God, I am full of weariness; O God, I have come to an end:
30:2 [cbgb] 这人对以铁和乌甲说,我比众人更蠢笨,也没有人的聪明。 < | >
    [niv] "I am the most ignorant of men; I do not have a man's understanding.
    [asv] Surely I am more brutish than any man,  And have not the understanding of a man;  
    [jnd] Truly *I* am more stupid than any one; and I have not a man's intelligence.
    [kjv] Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.

    [niv] Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hands? Who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and the name of his son? Tell me if you know!
    [asv] Who hath ascended up into heaven, and descended?  Who hath gathered the wind in his fists?  Who hath bound the waters in his garment?  Who hath established all the ends of the earth?  What is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou knowest?

    [niv] "Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
    [asv] Every word of God is tried:  He is a shield unto them that take refuge in him.

    [asv] Add thou not unto his words,  Lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

    [niv] Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, `Who is the LORD?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.
    [asv] Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is Jehovah?  Or lest I be poor, and steal,  And use profanely the name of my God.

30:10 [cbgb] 你不要向主人谗谤仆人。恐怕他咒诅你,你便算为有罪。 < | >
    [niv] "Do not slander a servant to his master, or he will curse you, and you will pay for it.
    [asv] Slander not a servant unto his master,  Lest he curse thee, and thou be held guilty.

    [asv] There is a generation that curse their father,  And bless not their mother.  
    [jnd] There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother;

    [asv] There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes,  And yet are not washed from their filthiness.

    [asv] There is a generation, oh how lofty are their eyes!  And their eyelids are lifted up.

    [asv] There is a generation whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives,  To devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

    [niv] "The eye that mocks a father, that scorns obedience to a mother, will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley, will be eaten by the vultures.
    [asv] The eye that mocketh at his father,  And despiseth to obey his mother,  The ravens of the valley shall pick it out,  And the young eagles shall eat it.

    [asv] So is the way of an adulterous woman;  She eateth, and wipeth her mouth,  And saith, I have done no wickedness.    
    [jnd] Such is the way of an adulterous woman: she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
