    [bbe] And while they were in doubt about it, they saw two men in shining clothing by them:
24:5 [cbgb] 妇女们惊怕,将脸伏地。那两个人就对他们说,为什么在死人中找活人呢? < | >
    [niv] In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead?
    [asv] and as they were affrighted and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
    [jnd] And as they were filled with fear and bowed their faces to the ground, they said to them, Why seek ye the living one among the dead?

    [bbe] And while their faces were bent down to the earth in fear, these said to them, Why are you looking for the living among the dead?

    [niv] He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:
    [asv] He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

    [niv] `The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.'"

    [bbe] The Son of man will be given up into the hands of evil-doers, and be put to death on the cross, and on the third day he will come back to life.

    [niv] But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense.
    [asv] And these words appeared in their sight as idle talk; and they disbelieved them.
    [jnd] And their words appeared in their eyes as an idle tale, and they disbelieved them.

    [niv] Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.
    [asv] But Peter arose, and ran unto the tomb; and stooping and looking in, he seeth the linen cloths by themselves; and he departed to his home, wondering at that which was come to pass.
    [jnd] But Peter, rising up, ran to the sepulchre, and stooping down he sees the linen clothes lying there alone, and went away home, wondering at what had happened.
    [kjv] Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.

    [niv] Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem.
    [asv] And behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was threescore furlongs from Jerusalem.
    [jnd] And behold, two of them were going on the same day to a village distant sixty stadia from Jerusalem, called Emmaus;
    [kjv] And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.

    [niv] One of them, named Cleopas, asked him, "Are you only a visitor to Jerusalem and do not know the things that have happened there in these days?"
    [asv] And one of them, named Cleopas, answering said unto him, Dost thou alone sojourn in Jerusalem and not know the things which are come to pass there in these days?
    [jnd] And one , named Cleopas, answering said to him, Thou sojournest alone in Jerusalem, and dost not know what has taken place in it in these days?
    [kjv] And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
    [nwb] And one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering, said to him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which have come to pass there in these days?

    [bbe] Then stopping, and looking sadly at him, one of them, named Cleopas, said to him, Are you the only man living in Jerusalem who has not had news of the things which have taken place there at this time?
24:19 [cbgb] 耶稣说,什么事呢?他们说,就是拿撒勒人耶稣的事。他是个先知,在 神和众百姓面前,说话行事都有大能。 < | >
    [niv] "What things?" he asked. "About Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people.
    [asv] And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
    [jnd] And he said to them, What things? And they said to him, The things concerning Jesus the Nazaraean, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people;

    [bbe] And he said to them, What things? And they said, The things to do with Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet, great in his acts and his words, before God and all the people:

    [niv] The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him;
    [asv] and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him.

    [niv] but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place.
    [asv] But we hoped that it was he who should redeem Israel. Yea and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things came to pass.
    [jnd] But *we* had hoped that *he* was who is about to redeem Israel. But then, besides all these things, it is now, to-day, the third day since these things took place.
    [kjv] But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

    [niv] In addition, some of our women amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning
    [asv] Moreover certain women of our company amazed us, having been early at the tomb;
    [jnd] And withal, certain women from amongst us astonished us, having been very early at the sepulchre,
    [kjv] Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;

    [niv] but didn't find his body. They came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive.
    [asv] and when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.

    [niv] Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but him they did not see."

    [niv] He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
    [asv] And he said unto them, O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!
    [jnd] And *he* said to them, O senseless and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!
    [kjv] Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

    [ylt] And he said unto them, `O inconsiderate and slow in heart, to believe on all that the prophets spake!
    [bbe] And he said, O foolish men! how slow you are to give belief to what the prophets have said.
24:26 [cbgb] 基督这样受害,又进入他的荣耀,岂不是应当的麽? < | >
    [niv] Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?"
    [asv] Behooved it not the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory?
    [jnd] Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into his glory?
